Description: To qualify for bidding on capital improvement contracts in excess of $25,000, it is usually necessary that each bidder be pre-qualified with the Department of Public Works (DPW). A pre-qualified bidder is a contractor who has received a certificate of prequalification from DPW. A contractor must apply for prequalification by submitting the necessary form and information to DPW for approval.
