Description: Today the SBA announced the launch of a direct forgiveness portal for PPP loans, which is a streamlined application process to allow borrowers with PPP loans of $150,000 or less to apply for forgiveness directly through the SBA. The portal will begin accepting applications from borrowers on August 4, 2021.

Yesterday the SBA issued an SVOG Press Release, which includes the announcement that notifications for the appeal and award amount reconsideration opportunities are expected to begin August 2, 2021, and August 4, 2021, respectively, and remain open for two weeks.
